I was all prepared to go hard-core Ferber tonight!

I had my mind right, and I was ready to do it.  We've had nothing but sleep battles since the 18 month sleep regression and ear infection marathon set in (around 2 weeks or so).

We've gotten our tubes, and totally recovered...and I was ready to go back to my old faithful, Dr. Ferber.

So, what does Caroline do?  We did our normal routine, and put her down, and she rolled over and went to sleep.

I'm thrilled that she did it...but HOW did she know? 

She's screamed bloody murder almost every night for 2+ weeks at bedtime (and we've been helping her through it and rocking her down), and she picked the night we decided to re-Ferber to go straight to bed, happy as a little clam?

She also took a 3.5 hour nap today with no crying.

I think she's psychic Big Smile

    My guys are the same way- every time my husband and I decided we were going to do Ferber, to eliminate a night waking or something, they would do it themselves! I think that they must also be ready for better-quality sleep and reach the end of their rope right as I am reaching mine... But I hope you have a long and quiet night's sleep!

    i'm jealous. =(

    we still don't have everything working with sleep after 2 1/2 weeks of ferber! last night was awful. we think it's maybe because he has three teeth coming in though. we hope that's the problem . . . 

    anyway, glad caroline went down easily!

    Yay Caroline! I will say that after months of horrible sleep, DD finally started going down easy (and STTN) after we got her tubes. I think her ears were causing more pain than we realized.

    Hopefully tubes were the magic cure for you too!!
