Ugh. SIL is pregnant.

I am trying to be generous and think that I'm happy for my BIL and SIL but I'm not feeling it right now.  They have a son who is 5 weeks younger than my boys, and I think her parenting practices leave a lot to be desired.  

She is not always nice to my BIL- last time we were there she was saying "We'll be in divorce court by spring!" in front of me, MIL, and my husband, because she was annoyed at how much my BIL works.  She just doesn't get that if she wants to have 5 or 6 kids (this will be their 4th, they have 2 girls they adopted before they were married and their 13 month old son), he needs to work to support them.

And, not least of all, the infertile part of me is hurt that she decided to start trying and got pregnant on the first try.  Does that actually happen!?!?

I hope that this post doesn't make me sound like a mean and bitter person, I just had to get my feelings out to people who might understand.

    I feel you! I have a cousin that is the same way.  She has a son 2 months younger than Nico and got PG soon after my m/c last August.  She got PG on her first try both times!  Ug!!!  So sorry you feel like this.  I hate IF!

    I understand and it does stink. I come from a very fertile family and everyone got pregnant right away except me.

    I hear ya. DH and I haven't prevented since Matt was born, and I'm not pregnant. I'm meeting with my doctor soon to talk about treatments again. Sigh. It's hard to wrap my mind around people getting pregnant the first month TTC.

    there is definitely nothing wrong with not feeling thrilled when someone who you think is a not-so-great parent is pregnant. and as for jealousy when someone gets pregnant easily--we all feel that, sweetie. (((hugs)))
