Moving forward......I think

Just had our first lost lastnight. DH and I are pretty much ok, we were prepared for it when the inital bleeding started. I believe it was a complete miscarraige because the E.R. doctor didn't do an ultrasound so I have no idea until the week starts. We want to try again but I have no idea what's the next steps. Can anybody tell me what are the key questions to ask?

    First, I am sorry for your loss :(

    I went to my OBs office with a list after my m/c.  She advised no intercourse for 2 weeks after the bleeding stops (I've seen this number vary though) because your risk to infection is high right now.  I would ask how long until you can try again.  Honestly I can't remember most of what I asked, I was so emotional the whole month of my m/c.  Best of luck though and if I think of anything else I will update :)

    So sorry for your loss.  Since it your first loss your Dr. may not do/say much.  At this point there may be no definitive way to find out why it happened.  Do ask your Dr. what his opinion is on how long you should wait to try again.  I've seen this 3 vary anywhere from 1 cycle to 3 months.
