I'm a noob... the definition of the word! I am getting a sewing machine here very soon (I've been asking for one forever) and I would love to make a few cloth diapers. I hope I'm a fast learner at sewing.
What are your favorite online tutorials and patterns for cloth diapers?
Thank you!!!
Re: Favorite Online Tutorials and Patterns?
I want to see these answers, too! I do sew and have a made a few pockets with Kayla'sClothKits patterns, which I liked pretty well. You buy a kit from her that includes the pattern and everything you need to make 3 pockets---pretty good deal and the instructions were great! I had a couple issues with wicking on one of them, but I think that was more about my learning curve than the pattern.
I am wanting to find a good pattern for a really absorbent soaker, and fabric suggestions would be great, too!
Check out this Bumpie Business List .
I've seen a lot of positive reviews of the Darling Diaper Unlimited on DS so I just bought that one and will be making one later today. It comes with many different patterns.

My favorite pattern is Darling Diapers Unlimited. It's excellent for beginners because it has a wide range of options and very very very detailed instructions.
For paid patterns, I've also tried the La Di Da and Very Baby Basic AIO patterns, and I do like both of them. If you click on my sewing blog in my siggy, I have some examples of DDU's, LDD's, and VB's in there. I'll probably do a post later tonight with another LDD and VB...
For free patterns, Cloth Revolution or Rita's Rump Pocket. Cloth Revolution comes with extensive instructions, and this is a good tutorial for RRP: https://babyjibjib.blogspot.com/2008/08/making-ritas-rump-pocket.html
Also, for fleece or wool soakers/shorties/longies, the free Katrina patterns are awesome. Again, tons more examples of them in my sewing blog.
