I think I'd like something a little longer that you can get a nn out of. Something like Elizabeth (which was my mom's name so off limits) with the nn Lizzy, I think I'm a Lizzy. ^_^
That's a hard question! I've always thought of myself as a Keara, and I don't think I could ever be anything else. If I had to pick, I'd choose my mn (Paige).

Idk, but something more unique. There were always 5 other Brittanys (with 5 different spellings) in school growing up. I honestly can't think of anything outside my current baby girl name list, lol.

Please tell me you're exaggerating about the 5 different spellings. I know of 2 and cringe to think of how people would have to butcher the name to come up with 3 alternate spellings.
I was named after a state (no, I was not conceived there . . . to my knowledge), so I guess I'd just make it easy on myself and be a Montana or Carolina or Virginia. Smooth transition, no? Seriously though, if I had to pick a new name, I think I would be Donatella or Gwendolen.
I've always hated my name. Jessica Nicole. Can you get anymore boring?
But I'd have to say I'd be an Amelia or Emma. Just something prettier.

I would go by Lydia I have always liked that name. So much so, when I wrote short stories in school I would submit them under that name. I don't think my name would be taken away as there are a couple of song using my name, but the choice above is what I would use if it did.
Re: If you HAD to change your first name...
I'd go by my middle name, which I've always loved: Rose.
Or if I had to come up with something entirely new: Maggie. Which is probably why I want to name my daughter it.
If I have to pick a name I'm not considering for a child (or at least not strongly): Penelope.
My name is boring. Beth. [and it's NOT short for Elizabeth! ugh!]
I'd pick something more exciting. Like Scarlett or Aimee or Emily or Kennedy

At about 20 years old, I went through a period of time where I started looking into legally changing my name to Jillian.
Almost 10 years later, I'm glad I didn't. My name fits me.
Katarcyzna
I know it seems strange but I adore that name. It wouldn't fit though.
