    I am feeling the same way right now.  I really want to call to see if they will see me, although there really is no reason except to give me piece of mind.  But I am scared to death to call the advice nurse because I am afraid she will tell me no.

    Rach - I emailed my doctor and asked if she could fit me in this afternoon, because I just don't feel right.  Her nurse just called and kinda gave me the run around, but said she would check and see if any of the docs could fit me in and will call me back if I wanted.  I told her yes because I need the peace of mind.

    I have always been a big believer in listening to your instincts/inner voice.  Don't feel stupid, and don't let them make you feel that way.  A mother's instinct is strong, and not to be ignored.

    FWIW, one of my friends had no hesitation at all about complaining of "spotting" or "cramping" when she had a bad feeling.  It got her in (to Kaiser) every time without question.  Entirely ethical?  Probably not.  But worth it for peace of mind?  In my opinion, a resounding YES.  All of her bad feelings were unfounded...as I am sure yours will be :)  but it was still worth it.

    When I was having regular spotting I called one day and they didn't want to see me and I told them I really wanted to be seen and they gave me an appointment.  It is your health and you have every right to request to be seen.

    You have every right to be seen when you feel it is necessary. And I count peace of mind in that category. I had lots of cramping in the first tri mostly due to dehydration and panic attacks but it made me feel better to go in anyway. My Dr completely understood this and always got me in either with her or with a different Dr. Don't let them make you feel stupid for wanting an apt.
