Trouble with babywearing

When DS was tiny he loved being in the Moby, but now that he is discovering that he can make his arms and legs move, he doesn't seem to like it much. He will usually tolerate it for about 5 minutes before he fusses to come out. He hates being froggied so I wrap him legs out, but that only seems to help marginally. I don't care much for the Moby and was planning to purchase a woven wrap, but I'm wondering if I should wait and see if I can get him adjusted to the Moby before I invest in a more expensive wrap or if the woven might help. Any suggestions would be much appreciated as while I don't like the stretchiness of the Moby, I like the idea of wrapping and really did enjoy it when he was a tiny baby.

Also, as for a woven I am undecided between the Vatanai, Ellaroo or Bali Breeze. Seems that Bali Breeze would be best for the upocming hot weather, but I'm concerned with the need for more careful wrapping as a beginner. Input would be great!

  • MandJS - How do you wash/care for your vat?  Just curious.

Both vatanai and ellaroo are light weight so both would work well in the summer. LOs problem may be that he's hot! Try dressing him in just a diaper and a onesie (or even just the diaper) and see if that helps.

Yesterday he was in just a diaper and nothing else and he was still fussing about it. I will keep trying though. Our house is freezing and I haven't taken him out in the Moby in a while because I know he would die of heat with our current weather in that thing!

  • Are you moving constantly? Or are you standing/sitting still? DS loves being worn, but ever since about 2 months old, I have to be constantly swaying/bouncing if I am not walking.

We are always moving when he is being worn.
