when do you go to bed?

What's your bedtime routine like?   I feed LO around 7:30 and put her in bed by 8pm.  I was staying up with DH til 10-11, but it's kicking my butt.  I want to go to bed with LO, but then I get no time with the hubby :(   What do you guys do?

Re: when do you go to bed?

  • Usually she eats around 9 and I either go to bed then with her if DH is playing WOW, or we stay up to watch tv/movies, and have some "us" time.

  • DD doesn't go down until 9:00-10:00, so we go to sleep when she goes to sleep.

  • My husband owns a restaurant and doesn't usually get home until 10-11:00. We usually put DS down after his 10:30 feeding, so my husband gets some time with him. We hang out for a little and are usually in bed by 11:30.

  • Baby "goes to bed" between 10-11pm, and I end up staying up till 12am or 1am.

  • That is really hard to say - since I don't feel like I really get much sleep :)

However, we start attempting to sleep probably around 11 or 12.  This might change when DH goes back to work on Monday.  We started the bath & story routine a couple days ago, but we never seem to get it rolling until after 10pm.  DD isn't very good at nighttime yet, her best sleeps seem to be between 4am and noon :(

  • I go to bed about 10 pm, but I usually don't make it out of bed until 9 or 10 am. Usually that's enough to get enough sleep to feel pretty good.
  • We put DS down at 9 and I feed DD right after he is in bed, she is alert from 9-10 then we lay her down. If DH is playing video games DD and I will sleep on the couch until midnight. If he isn't then we spend the next two hours watching tv and talking. We have learned the importance of kid free time together so that happens at least every other night.

  • I feed her around 830 - 9 and finish up putting her in bed with a clean diaper a little before 10.  I usually fall asleep around 11:30 then get up and feed her again at 12.  So I guess I don't really get into bed and start sleeping until 12:30.
  • We usually start winding down for the night around 10.  Normally LO will fall asleep sometime around 10:30 maybe.  Then we hang out and have 'us' time until it's time for us to go to bed which is usually around 12:30/1 am right after I feed/change C one more time.
  • DD has her last bottle between 10-11 and she goes down by 12. DH and I spent the evening together caring for her and hanging as a family. We will get alone time again, we are enjoying being a family and know that DD won't be this little and this needy for long.

  • Bed??  What's that?

Baby has her days and nights mixed and goes WIDE awake around 10 or 11pm.  My husband tends to stay up all night long with her and I'll get up around 7am and take over so he can go to bed.  Of course, this will all change next week when he goes back to work, so I am hoping we get her on a better schedule.  She currently sleeps all during the day, except when eating or needing a diaper change.  I try to nap when she sleeps.

  • Way too late in the evening and I'm sick of it.

  • DS has a really long feed between 9-10pm and the usually stays asleep until 2amish. We go to bed as soon as he does. His long feed takes forever so we usually chat/watch tv while he eats.

  • She tends to go down between 9-930ish and we had been going to bed (collapsing) around 1020ish but last night I was exhausted and went right after i fed her at 920 and hubby had her (sleeping) until 1030 when he came to bed.. she sleeps until about 1-130ish.. and then who knows if she will go right to bed or stay up for awhile at that point.. last night she would not go back to bed unless i held her in a certain way.. not fun attttt all..

  • We all go upstairs between 930-10, depending on if it's a bath night or not. Dh and I will either stay up and watch tv in bed until we're tired, or we go to sleep right away. He does shift work, so he doesn't work 5 days a week, and its the evening shift 230pm-2am, so no matter what I get time with him while she naps during the day.

We start our night routine at 8ish and DD is usually sleeping at 9:30. I dreamfeed her at 10:30-11ish and go to bed after that. (DD starts her mornings at 5am on the dot so I don't feel bad going to bed early)
