My formal Introduction

Hi ladies.  I thought since today was our first formal meeting with an adoption attorney I'd go ahead and introduce myself here.  I've been lurking a LONG time as we had considered DA in 2009, but then took time to pursue an embryo adoption 2010/2011.  Sadly that didn't work for us, and we now know with all certainty that domestic adoption is the road we are meant to be on.

John and I have been ttc since 2005.  If you look at my siggy you'll see our long road struggling with IF.  I was once a very active poster on the IF board, and from time-to-time can be found still posting on IF Vets.  

We will be starting the process after I return from Texas next week.  We have all of our paperwork to be filled out and will then be looking forward to our home study.  We are working with an attorney who has been practicing in adoption law for over 20 years.  A co-worker of mine used him for her domestic adoption and is now the proud mom to a sweet 11 week old.  

I look forward to getting to know you ladies as I embark on this whirlwind journey to bring our child home!

    Hi :) we are here now too. Pursuing DA as well...we have our introductory meeting with our agency July 9th. Look forward to being on THIS journey with you!
    Wife for 6 years. Mommy to Reese, 3, after IVF. IUI #1 5/07 = BFN. IVF #1 7/07 = BFP (Reese :-)) FET #1 7/10 = BFN. FET #2 4/11 = BFN. IUI #2 9/11 = BFN. IUI #3 (with donor sperm) 11/11 = BFN. IVF with DE 5/12 = BFP! Beta #1 = 222. Beta #2 = 613. First u/s 6/9 due to bleeding and cramping = saw one beautiful baby! EED 2/3/13 M/C on 6/12/12 at 6 weeks. At a crossroads with our next steps...     I'm not very active here yet since we are just getting started with adoption, but I'm glad you made it over here, too!  You'll find everyone here to be extremely helpful, patient, open, & honest.  It's a great board.

    May 2011 Chose to build our family through adoption

    Hi!!!  Glad to see you formally on here, K!  Can't wait to hear about your journey - I'm so happy for you guys that you chose adoption :)

    Dx PCOS 2003/high fasting insulin/clotting issues DH Dx with low sperm count, motility and morphology. Varicocele repair (11/1/2010)
    2/2011 - Confirmed no improvement - On to Donor Sperm
    4 failed IUIs in 2010
    IUI#5 and 6- with DS, BFN
    Final IUI - Lucky #7! IUI with DS - 20.Jun.2011 - 21.5 mil motile! Not so lucky - BFFN and the end of our IF journey....
    Waiting for our family to be complete through Adoption - May 2012 - Hoping our baby finds us soon!
