I noticed in a response you gave that you knew your O date in the cycle after your D&C. Did you just use OPKs? Did you chart as well? Can you (or anyone who's been there) help guide me a little as far as my next steps?

I am just wondering how and when to get started. I had a D&C yesterday and we have to wait one cycle before we can start trying again. I charted my temps using FF before. Should I start right away? Do I just make a CD1 to get a new chart or keep the 1 have going and just record my temps until AF gets here? Would y'all recommend trying OPKs or should I wait on that until my next cycle after AF?

Is it even clear what I'm trying to ask?!? haha Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

    CD1 should be the day of your D&C. I tempted and used opks to detect O. I did O about a week later than normal. You can check out my chart in ff, it is labeled.

    Hi! I just started reading the info on the fertility friend, there is a lot of info there to read when u are just starting out. I got my first AF 31 days after my d&c and I started temping and adding that info in to my Fertility Friend account. I started using OPKs for the first time too, and that was a big help too. If u make a FF account make aure to link it in your sig like mine because when you have questions the ladies here are wonderful and can go look at your chart to help! I'm bumping from my phone now so sorry for any sp errors and run on sentences! lol

    This exactly. I tempted starting d&c day (CD1) I o'd at CD22 (usually cd15-16, so a week late) I got my period 5 weeks to the day after d&c. If you can't see my chart in ff, page me and I'll share it w/ you!sorry for your loss, this board is a great support system.

    Chloebeth, did you not record any temps until you stopped bleeding after the D&C?

    I only really entered my temps and did a little chatting on FF. I guess I will spend a little more time getting to know the ins and outs of it. Thanks again for the help ladies. and I tried to add you three ladies as friends, I think.

     Oh, and how do you name your charts? I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing. ETA: I knew once I asked I'd find it!

    I ovulated 4.5 weeks after my D&C. I wasn't temping, I just happened to catch it on an OPK.
    BFP #1 1/27/11, EDD 10/7/11, D&C 3/29/11 @ 12w4d
    BFP #2 5/19/11, EDD 1/20/12, Natural miscarriage 6/2/11 @ 6w6d
    Dx 2 copies of MTHFR reductase DNA mutation (C677T & A1298C) June 2011

    I marked CD1 as the day of my D&C. I didn't ovulate until day 43 of that cycle according to my temps (I wasn't using OPKs yet), which was about 3 weeks later than normal for me.

    I'm sorry for your loss. I started charting right away after my d&c. I did use opks and temped. I didn't o until cd45. You can look at my January 11 chart. I would start temping but it's hard to know when to start using opks Good luck!

    I had a d&c 8 days ago. At first I didn't keep do my temps at first, but then I started bleeding on Monday, and started keeping my temps! 

    I also bought 40 OPKS from amazon.com today, and am going to try it out, but doubt I will get anything from them this month. :)

    Sorry for the late response!  I really only had light spotting after my D&C, but yes I started after it stopped.  I wasn't going to chart my 1st cycle, but we had to TTA that cycle so I wanted to know when I O'ed so I could know when to use protection.  Do notice on my chart though that my temps stayed high (more high than pre O temps for me) until I stopped testing + on HPTs (about 2 weeks after my D&C).  Then I had a big drop and then they looked more regular like my other charts.
