So scared...T&P please.. GOOD NEWS UPDATE

Last night when I was leaning over to change my underwear I realized that a small puddle about the size of a silver dollar pancake had formed on the floor. The fluid was clear and odorless and I did not feel it come out. It didn't feel like a classic gush but it freaked me out. I started looking up rupture of membranes and this early on, the baby would not be expected to survive. I did feel a little better that no further fluid came out since then when I've been standing or overnight. I have not had any cramping and the fetal doppler confirmed a heartbeat this morning. I chose not to go to the emergency room since I don't know that an ER doctor would be able to tell me anything other than drink lots of water and rest.

I'm waiting for my Ob's office to open so I can talk to the doctor or at least the nurse. Please pray that everything is ok. I'm freaking out.

ETA - Thank you ladies for you kind words and reassurance. I went to the Ob and they tested my fluid with nitrazine and also looked at it under the microscope to look for ferning. Both tests were negative for amniotic fluid. Also, he performed an ultrasound and there were normal pockets of amniotic fluid indicating that there was not a leak. The baby looked great and is growing appropriately! He said he thought it was stress urinary incontinence. I am shocked that I could accidentally pee myself in that large of a volume without even being aware of it but I guess its possible. I am so relieved that everything is ok...I had terrible nightmares of preterm labor and losing the baby.

FYI for anyone that experiences this...he said if it was premature rupture of membranes, there is usually a steady flow of fluid as Ravenorchid had described because the baby is continuing to make urine which is what the amniotic fluid is. He also said some women also experience cramping and fever afterwards.

T&P! Just before 19 weeks for me I wet my entire underwear and when I called the OB, they had me go to L&D. There are several tests they will do at L&D to confirm it isn't your water leaking. I'm guessing that is what they will tell you to do. They will also do an u/s and check your LO's fluid levels. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

((Hugs)) I hope all is well. If it's any comfort, I don't think your membranes actually ruptured. That's what happened to me last pregnancy and I was filling up a pad in less than hour with amniotic fluid after it occurred. I'll be sending thoughts and prayers your way!
