got ears pierced, but allergy rash..HELP

We got Ks ears pierced on Tues. Her ears looked fine until Wed afternoon when after cleaning her earlobes with the disinfectant she developed a rash. I am not sure if she is allergic to the earrings or the disinfectant. The rash seems to have gone away today morning only to reappear now. I called the place that did the piercings and they said maybe she is allergic to the nickel in the 14K white gold earrings.

K is fine. She doesnt seem too bothered with the rash.But it has got me worried. Should I just leave them it over the next few days and see if it goes away? If i remove the earrings her holes could close right away...:(

I have issues with certain types of earrings I can only wear gold earrings and no sterling silver. Maybe try a different kind of stuff to clean her ears with!

i would try replacing them with yellow gold earrings. white gold usually has an overlay to make it white. i have sensitive ears and thats all i can wear is gold. if you do a quick change you should be fine.

i got dd1 earrings from piercing pagoda and they must be really junky. she was allergic to them, her whole earlobe swelled around the back to the point where i had to dig it out with tweezers.

I guess I'd try another disinfectant first to see if that helps. Putting another set of earrings in at this point is going to be so painful without them being healed over that I'd probably try that second.
