About to embark on a LONG 1800 mi one-way trip. Packing up. Trying to remember that I'm not being drop shipped to Siberia and there'll be Target along the way. But, in an effort not to be wasteful and stop a lot: What are your roadtrip must haves? What would be silly to go without? We'll be staying 2 nights before we arrive.

grocery bags for garbage/dirty diapers!
The key is in how you organize the car...make sure you have everything you need up front...You don't want to have to go rooting for things.
Good luck! We are going on a huge road trip in a month...and then back home two weeks later, so I will be looking for some tips! The last time we did this Reed was tiny so it was totally different.
DVD player with a stock of Sesame Street and Veggie Tales
Cooler with milk and bottled water

Toys
A bag of small (inexpensive) toys he's never seen. Last trip, which was 10 hours in the car, a $2.99 deck of Winnie the Pooh flash cards provided at least an hour of entertainment. I kept a Lightning McQueen matchbox car as my secret weapon, should I need it.
Overnight diapers for the car.
For the hotel, an extra box of outlet covers. (I am paranoid about them because anytime DS sees one outside of our house that's unprotected, he immediately looks for something to stick in it.)
And a healthy attitude that we're going to stop a lot and make an adventure of it....
Good luck!
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
