Recommend a good salon

I am going to get my hair cut and colored, but I want to go to a really fantastic place.  I do not care what it costs.   Please recommend your salon.    I am willing to go ITP, but I am not willing to go anywhere near 85.

  • I love Beth at Salon Julio Cesar in Buckhead on Maple Drive. Its so nice without feeling snooty.  All the people there are super friendly and they would always offer me a glass of wine.  Oh someday I will be back there!  Beth does both cut and color and is fantastic...down to earth...and respects a budget.  She gave me the best hair cuts ever!

  • I've been going to Van Michael in Sandy Springs for 7 years, and love them. I think they are worth every penny.

Eh, I supposedly had one of their top colorists in the chain do my hair once and it wasn't even close to what I asked for, nor was it worth the $300 I dumped on it.

I go to Adore in Va. Highlands when I have time. They have a really excellent colorist named Patrick who's amazing. Robbi, Jamael AND Ali have all cut my hair with fab results. I was actually a hair model for Ali for years.

$300 for color? You got ripped off. I pay $200 for highlights and cut, and I have been going to the same colorist/stylist for 7 years.

  • I love my stylists at Three-13 Salon in Marietta. I see Traci for cuts and Melanie for color (before I went back natural). I love both of them and have been seeing/saw them for many, many years.
  • Robin @ Curltopia in Smyrna. They do all types of hair (specializing in curly) but she is amazing with color...which is her specialty.

That makes more sense. It all depends on who you see, as I think it does with every salon. I think with VM it also depends on which salon you go to, I hate the one in Buckhead but love the one in SS.

  • I went to 3 thirteen off of Canton.  They were wondeful.  I saw Dru for my highlights and Virginia did my cut.  I also had my eyebrows done.  My total cost was 155 before tip.  I was very happy.  If you go tell them I send cha!  they are all about the number 13 and I will get a 13 g/c towards my next visit!

It was the one in Va. High. And this was, like, 5 or 6 years ago.

  • Oh, I've been to 3-13 before and I loved them.

I might go there, or check out Van Michael.  I've seen that place when I am in SS.

  • sandy springs VM! I see Erika for color and love what she does. I also see avery for cut and while she's technically in the new talents side still, she's amazing and will probably be moving up soon. i pay $85 for partial highlights and i think $40 for for cut now...i can't remember as she has been moving up in costs lately since she's close to getting promoted.

  • I also go to three-13 based off of Amy's rec from years ago. I see Michael for color and have seen Naomi for cuts.
  • Adam James Salon in Buckhead.  He fixed my hair when someone gave me leopard spot highlights and does just a great job. (404) 995-0660.  He can even tame my husband's wild crazy curly hair.

  • Freddie at Jamison Shaw in Buckhead is FABULOUS!  The salon really pampers you too.  He actually is better priced than several other salons I tried before him as well.

  • I love my stylist! Her name is Martianne and she is at Salon One in Vinings.  She used to be at Bob Steele and I went to her for her for years over there and followed her over to Salon One.  Unfortunately she is on maternity leave right now, but should be back at the end of November.  I am sure you want to get something done before then, but just thought I would mention her.

  • I go to Van Michaels in Buckhead.  Definitely worth it.  I pay maybe $140 for partial highlights and $65 for a cut.

Myra - I hate the Highlands VM.  They are so snotty.  I refuse to even buy products there.
