So after 13 weeks since my c-section delivery, sex is STILL painful. And my first pee afterwards BURNS like there's no tomorrow. I know that the first few times were supposed to feel awful...but it's been over 3 months! I've suffered through it for DH's sake, but ouch!
Just wondering....is this normal or do I need to call my doc?
Re: Does sex still hurt? (TMI, perhaps)
Did you push before you section?? I do not have any pain at all, we're almost 12 weeks pp. I did not push at all (scheduled c/s).
The burning could be an infection though - call your doc - I hope it's nothing and they give you some advice!!
Yep, still hurts for me, too. I also had a c/s and am 12w pp today. My biggest issue has been a burning, stretching feeling upon entry. We have to go reeeeeally slow for me to be comfortable enough to finish, and it's never pleasant. DH is being so sweet and understanding, but I'm starting to get frustrated, so I know he is, too! And I totally have the burning while peeing afterward. I was told the burning feeling is due to the thinned vagina walls. I pushed for over 3 hours and my lady bits were wrecked before my c/s; I do think that makes a difference like pp's were suggesting.
I made a commitment to doing it every other day this week to try to loosen things up. I think it's helping, actually. And someone on the 3-6 board said her OB recommended vagina stretches...lol. Literally insert two fingers and separate to stretch. I haven't tried it bit I suppose it's worth a whirl!
Lastly, we tried using astroglide and I hated it. We used a bucket's worth and it was all sticky and gross, so since then, we've just used lots of saliva. I think it lessens the burning and frequent, uh, reapplication is necessary! This all feels very TMI but many of us are in the same boat here, so we have to try to help each other out, right? haha. Good luck.
I called my doc, and she said that it happens sometimes if you're breastfeeding...and, unfortunately, could last until breastfeeding ends. Ugh. I guess we should stock up on lube.
P.S. My c-section was scheduled, so no pushing or tearing. Oh, well.
I had a vaginal forceps delivery with 3rd degree tear and lots of stitches... we've done it 2 times. It hurts, but it's not that bad.
However, I am still sore when I walk too much, jump, etc.

We haven't even tried yet (poor DH, it's been months!). I have the burning feeling every time I pee. I already got tested for infection (yeast and bacterial), but the tests came back negative. OB said it's probably vaginal dryness due to low estrogen from BFing.
I am terrified to have sex if it hurts just to pee.
