After finally being able to stomach a plate of chicken alfredo, I got this fluttery feeling in my chest. I'm assuming it's from the increased bloodflow. It's not painful at all, but it is a different kind of feeling. Anyone else experienced this?
I have arrhythmias (3 different kinds ) and know exactly what you are talking about.
What you had is so called SVT "supraventricular tachychardia" and is very common and completely normal. Pretty much everyone has SVTs but not everyone notices them. It can definitely be from the energy boost
No weird feelings in my chest, but last night if I pressed on my belly where my uterus is, I got a sharp pain in my ribs. In one of the intercostal spaces below the boob. Very weird! And yes, people have PACs (premature atrial contractions) and PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) all the time without knowing it. It isn't a problem unless they are prolonged and lead to something more severe like sustained V-tach or A-fib/flutter. But you'd know if you had that because you'd probably get really light headed with any amount of activity.
I'm nearing 5 hours of this going on though, although it's not as noticeable at times. I called the after hours pager for my OBGYN, and the doctor who picked up decided they wanted me to come in tomorrow just to make sure. The fact it hasn't stopped has me concerned, especially since a headache has formed. If it wasn't potentially a common thing, I'd be wanting to go to an ER, but I think I'm going to at least make it to seeing the doctor tomorrow. I hope I haven't developed a serious issue.
I've dealt with the same thing before. Mine usually only lasts anywhere between 5 seconds to a minute. Kind of an odd feeling, and a little unnerving at times, but it's never caused me any problems. I hope your mind is set to rest soon!
