So, I don't know if this has been posted before...

How early did your shower invites go out? My shower isn't until July 24, so I feel like they have time, but between the shower being so late and the utter chaos of summer around here I'm starting to feel really unsettled about it. TIA!

I think a month is enough notice. If they go out too soon people will forget.

I'm having 2 showers. The first is this weekend and the second will be July 9. The invites for BOTH showers were sent out over Memorial Day weekend. So note even 2 weeks in advance and 6 weeks in advance. The 2 week notice was for a family shower and the 6 week notice was for a friends shower.

its generally 4-6 weeks depending on the time of year. I think the summer is tough with cookouts, grad parties, weddings, etc so the earlier the better. I think if they get them out within the next week or 2 they should be all set.

One went out 3 weeks before and I think the other one is going to go out 4-5 weeks before. I think the more notice, the better especially in the summer.

I think mine were sent out about 6 weeks in advance.. that way they could RSVP by 2 weeks out and give the hostesses some time to get everything together.

I think a month is a good rule of thumb. it's not so long people will forget, but it's not so short that they can't make arrangements to go.

My mom hounded me about them so they went out 6 weeks in advance. It's this Sunday. It's the middle of graduation and summer vacay season. We have a large family so people needed a heads up.

My shower was May 21 and I think my invites went out mid-April. We knew it would be a crazy time of year, between First Communions, graduations, weddings, etc. so I think my mom gave them just over a month. That seemed to be a perfect amount of time...nobody forgot and there was only one person who was unable to attend due to Relay for Life.

I have a June 25th shower and a July 9th shower. I know the 9th ones haven't been sent out and I don't even believe the 25th have been sent. But most people know by word of mouth anyways so if most people know about it then I wouldn't worry too much.

I'm having two showers, one just happened last weekend and one is the 10th of July.

The invites for last weekends went out April 20th ish so I would say they were about 6 weeks in advance. And the ones in July just went out this week so that is about 5 weeks.
