IUD users

Did you have to go back to your dr after you had your IUD (Mirena) inserted to have it checked?  I am supposed to go but I am wondering if I really need to since I haven't had any problems or issues with it and it's been almost 3 months.

    I had to go back after 1 month to be sure it hadn't shifted or anything. Then she said she will check it every year at my annual from now on.

    Yes, I had to go back to make sure it was in place properly.

    Yep, I went back after 1 month and had an ultrasound to make sure it was in the right place.  I was happy to go back to have it checked because I could never feel the string, so it reassured me.

    My SIL had to go back after a couple of weeks. ?Good thing, because it was totally in the wrong place. ?She had no idea.
