almost boring appt today

Just routine - except this was my last 2 weeker - now I'm weekly. 

Today's excitement included a Group B swab (let's hope it's negative!) and an internal.

Apparently I'm dilated to 1 already - I was always "high and tight" until I started having contractions with my first 2.  Let's hope this means an easier (shorter!) labor for this one!! 

Baby is still up high in my ribs though - and the doctor confirmed it "yup - he's practically in Canada!!"

Next appt. next week.  Weekly...oh my, where has the time gone!

I decided too that while I've been a real trooper so far, I'm going to have to start playing the pregnancy card if I have ANY hope of milking this - time's running out!!

    LOL--"he's practically in Canada"--too funny!!! WOW you're almost there. And I think it's a great idea...the prego card! I have to admit I use that from time to time. How can we not?!!! The trash is now always put on the curb by sweet DH. Dishes are done by the girls. For now, that will suffice (trying not to overplay that card)! Can't wait to hear about your weekly appts!!! Holy smokes...time is flying eh?

    Laura-  I can't believe that you're already at 36 weeks.  It's incredible, how fast time flies.  I hope you have a fast and easy labor with no complications.  I have to say when I finally delivered at 36 weeks (a little help with c/s) dr. said baby had dropped but I hadn't dilated and it didn't look like I would for some time.  Sending you easy labor thoughts.  Can't wait to see you on the Parenting after 35 board.

    I'll pray for an easy and short labor for you. And I know what you mean by playing the pregnancy card. Going to have to break the news to DH that it is now his job to clean the bathtub for the next few weeks. I tried yesterday, but my belly kept getting in the way. It was actually quite comical.

    Sounds like my day:) I am 2 days behind you, but I also did the Group B swab and it was my last 2 weeker as well. My midwife does not do internals though. She said she might after two weeks if necessary (whatever that means). Yeap, my ribs are suffering. The thing that I didn't like is that I ve gained 5 lb. for the last 2 weeks!

    Yay for getting closer to the due date! :)

    I realized this morning that my last monthly visit is next week then I am on to 2 week visits!

    I hope it flies by. I hope the 1 cm means that it is an easier AND shorter labor for you! You deserve an easy labor  :)
