I really like the name Livia, with a nn of Liv or Livvy. WDYT? Is it cute or will she have to constantly correct herself with people thinking her name is Olivia?

Re: wdyt of Livia
Not a fan: it either needs an "O" or needs to be changed to "Lydia."
You could always go with Lavinia, which is an actual name that could also be shortened to Liv or Livvy.
I think you'll always be correcting people that Livia DOES NOT have an "O".
Like you, I like Livvy and Livy though.
I totally agree.

Livia is an actual name too. It is just foreign so most people haven't heard of it.
I like Lavinia too, but Livia is an actual name. It's an old Roman name. Haven't you seen the Sopranos? Tony's mother's name is Livia.
OP ? I think you will have to correct some people sometimes, but that wouldn't bother me. I think Livia is lovely!

I always loved Livia, but two of my friends named their kids Livia and each is constantly correcting people
No fun.
Lavinia is in my top 15 though!

I stand corrected! Though it appears have the same root and meaning as "Olivia," so I wonder if ancient Roman women were going around correcting people as well
I still don't love it and prefer Olivia or Lavinia.
Never have, actually! Which is shameful since I'm Italian and was born in Jersey. It's been on my mental checklist for years, but I've never gotten around to it.
Also, OP: I don't think "You'll have to correct people" is necessarily a reason to discount a name, either, just to be clear!
