So, last night I said screw it and rocked her to sleep. I just couldn't stand another night of her crying off and on for 45 minutes. She fought it and tried to wiggle so I just cradled her with her arms pinned and she was out in about 4 minutes. I put her in her crib completely asleep and she never woke up. It was easier on my heart, and, quite frankly, I enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll be cursing myself in a week or two but I went with my gut on this one.

I think he says its ok, but that you have to be careful that she doesn't get so attached to it that if she wakes in the night she can't go back to sleep without it. We'll see if that happens with A. It was really sweet. I just got so used to putting her in the crib and walking out with no problems that I was afraid to do it.
My son loved being rocked to sleep. My dd wants to just be laid in bed when it is bed time. :-( I love rocking them to sleep. Sounds like it worked perfectly!
Last night, DD told me she didn't want to rock bc she's too big and "not get comfortable"... I may or may not have cried myself to sleep
Enjoy it while you can!

This! I wish DS was still a snuggler but these days when DS is finished with his night bottle he automatically rolls over and falls asleep. No snuggling, no burping. Just snoring. Hee hee. I miss the snuggly days. *sigh*
