DD's main daycare teacher is leaving :(

DD has been at her daycare center since January. Her main teacher is pregnant and due in August. I figured she would be leaving either for good or for an extended maternity leave when she has the baby, but we got a letter today that says her last day is this Friday and then, once she has the baby, she will be staying home with it. Obviously this is great for her and I'm very happy for her, but I'm bummed because DD really likes her and so do DH and I.

The other teachers do rotate through the baby room and so I know that DD is used to all of them and is fine with them, but I'm upset about it anyhow.

aw, I know, it sucks. DS will be moving to the twos room next week and he is SO attached to his teacher (she was his teacher in the infant room too so he got really lucky that she moved to the toddler room). He cries every day when she leaves, he is so attached to her. I'm a little worried about how he is going to transition. Hopefully it won't cause any problems for your DD. I'm sure all the teachers are great!
