screaming during sleep?

Hey ladies..

My little guy is 8 weeks old and for weeks now has been screaming & crying in his sleep. He doesn't wake up, sometimes i have to wake him up to calm him down. It's more than just the little grunts or funny sad faces they make sometimes in their sleep..this is a scream..a red-faced, tensed-body scream. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this with their LO? I'm just hoping its not something like night terrors forming..poor guy!

    Axton does it too. He'll scream 1 or 2 times, get this really pouty face and then is back to normal. I just leave him unless he is actually waking up. I dont' think theyr'e old enough to have dreams/night terrors.

    Yes! Nathaniel started doing this around 5 weeks, though he settles himself down again before I can even get to him (which is fast, since he sleeps in a co-sleeper sidecarred to our bed). He sometimes does it during naps, too.

    DD does this sometimes too. I used to go into her room and rub her belly, but that would just wake her up and make it worse. I still go in and peek at her, but she always settles back down and continues to sleep like nothing happened.
