2nd Trimester

Feeling like a fatty....

2 cans of chicken soup...1 can of beanie weenies...1 chicken pot pie and 1 half of a turkey foot long sub...in 8 hours. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I'm actually starting to keep things down but I feel bad for eating so much...it's hard to control it though when I feel like I'm starving all the time.

    Don't feel bad.  I have days like that too, sometimes the hunger is just too much.
  • It won't be long before you're not starving any more... and then you'll feel like you're starving again. :)

  • I feel for you, I've been STARVING lately too! It has amazed some of my friends how much I've been able to eat and STILL complain about being hungry afterwards. Lol! And when I wake up in the morning, baby kicks until I go fix breakfast.

  • I have days like that too.  I try to stay away from all the processed stuff though because the sodium swells me up like a blimp!

  • I know how you are feeling. I'm getting close to the point where my normal pants/jeans don't fit well anymore. It is making me extremely self-conscious.

  • Like pps said, we've all had days like that and it will even out. You're not fat, you're pregnant and you're trying to keep up with your body's changing needs.
  • Oh honey, I was reading this while eating a can of spaghetti o's. Yes. I said A CAN. I can totally empathize with you on feeling like a fatty because of all the stuff that I've been eating. Thankfully, I try to sneak some things in that have nutritional value - granola bars (if they aren't loaded with sugar), different kinds of nuts, fruit cups (in their own juice, NOT syrup), string cheese. I do have my moments where I will clothesline someone if I don't get a cheese burger...so I just order a kid's burger and the baby is usually getting good with that. It's basically the same as being on a diet, just keep things in moderation. I found that I would forget to eat (crazy, I know!) so I set 2 hour alarms in my phone that remind me that the baby is hungry. I can honestly say, this has helped me tremendously because I do feel kinda hungry, but I won't gorge myself when I do eat. It keeps me at a pretty healthy balance being eating and being hungry all the time!
