birthday party time

We are just having a simple cake and ice cream at our house with only family and few close family friends to celebrate Grant's birthday because we are taking a weekend trip to Disney to celebrate it. His birthday is on a Saturday but that morning my sister is having her sons birthday party from 10-12.

I was thinking about doing Grants cake celebration at either 6:30 or 7. If I do 6:30 I am afraid that people will think I am serving supper (even if the invite says cake) but then I think 7 is too late.

What time would you do 6:30 or 7? Another time?

Re: birthday party time

  • 6:30 sounds fine, I would do just put "Join us for cake & ice cream" or something to that effect.

  • I think 6:30 or 7:00 is fine.  Your guests can grab an early dinner and then head to your house for dessert.  Also, with your guest list being family/friends, hopefully, it will be pretty easy to spread the word you are only serving cake and ice cream.

    Have fun at Disney!!
