Summer Plans?

Whats going on folks?

We are wierd! We never really make vacation plans for the summer. I like to make plans in the Spring and Fall when the weather is more comfortable. We may go to the Keys to meet up with some friends and August. Besides that its just the usual weekends at the pool, possibly Rapids, birthday parties, etc etc etc.

What do you have going on?

We usually don't either but since Sebastian is going into kindergarten this year we won't have the luxury to just pull him out of school whenever we feel like it. We are going to go to Clearwater Beach for 4 days than 2 days in Orlando at the end of the month.

My parents invited us to go on a week cruise with them....we leave this Saturday. YAY! I am so excited. I need a vacation so badly. That will probably be it for us in terms of actual vacation because it will eat up most of the vacation days I have left for the year and I want to save the rest for Emma's 2nd birthday Disney trip in December. But I am hoping to maximize our weekends as much as possible...hit the beach, the Keys, friends' and family members' pools, etc.

We were just talking today about maybe going to Captiva for a long weekend with my parents. I don't know for sure. Other than that, Alexis starts camp on Monday, I finish school the last week of June. Lots os pool I'm sure and movies

So far the only thing planned in NY/NJ...J and I leave in 2 weeks and Alexis will follow a week later. We'll be gone for almost 3 weeks While we're up there we're holding J's baptism. I'm SO looking forward to getting away and even more so because Alexis is coming this time. Last time we went up there in February he couldn't come.

Other than that, nothing really. J's birthday party is the 3 week in July, so aside from that just a lot of outdoor time.....hopefully some play dates

We are going to the keys for July 4th weekend. Not much else planned for the summer. We might have some long weekends planned for around FL.

We have Disney set for November and TN in Dec. Other than that not much else planned.

Hi ladies!! Sounds like you all have some great plans!! you are giving me some beach ideas!

We don't have anything really planned for the summer. We are trying to get some plans for next weekend for our 5 year anniversary. My parents won't be able to take care of the boys so we are thinking of just bringing them along. We've thought Sanibel, Naples, just renting in Miami/Ft lauderdale? I dont know! lol Besides this, no other summer plans as we have a big trip to Acapulco in November for my sister's wedding! :-)

My vacation starts tomorrow! We are planning a staycation for the next three weeks. DH will have a little over 2 weeks off starting next Wednesday. Then, we'll be going to Sanibel for the 4th of July weekend. After that, I just want to spend as much time as possible with my little girl since I'll probably be asked to come back to work in late July or early August to open the new elementary building.

We're also making the backyard our summer project. We just refinished the pool and plan to do something about the flooring in the backyard. We've been doing some landscaping in the backyard also, so we'll be adding more plants throughout the summer. So, we'll definitely be spending a lot of time in the pool and BBQing!

Most of our vacations are taken in the summer... we love the beach. We leaving next wk for 10 days to Sarasota, and I can't wait! There is a huge group of us going, so should be fun.

We were suppose to go away for my bday last yr, but bc of the belly, we never did. We are contimplating going on a wk cruise this yr, just the 4 of us, but doing some research, it may be quite expensive. So that is still up in the air.

I do want to try to hit up Miami Beach or Key Biscayne more often this yr with the boys. We have a pool, but last time they went in (my BIL's) they got sick, and I think it was the chlorine (the moment I stepped it, I smelled it). So I want to avoid pools (but that is prob a first-time mommy paranoia). : )

The only thing planned for now is a week at orlando we rented a house with my dh family. We are going from June 25- July 2nd we are going to disney but dont have other plans yet we want to relax more then anything.

the following week (for 10 days straight,) swimming lessons!

then two weeks of pool time with the girls

then FIVE DAYS!!! of just me and DH going to Universal ALONE!!!! NO KIDS!!! I'm VERY excited. We need a break. I love the girls, but I can not WAIT to have our mini vacation, just the two of us!

Then i have some gifted classes i have to take and then school starts again boo.

we are headed to South Seas Resort in Captiva in about a week for 5 days! I plan to lay low the rest of the summer and stay out of the heat while my bump grows!

We're going to NJ for a week to spend time with our family. My SIL just moved to Orlando so I think we'll be taking weekend trips up to see her. And will probably spend Labor Day weekend in Tampa. In between, lots of pool, beach, and ice cream socials (=
