Do you automatically receive a copy of the birth certificate? Or do you have to order it to get a copy?

I can't find an answer and I feel I should know the answer to this.

    If you filled out the form at the hospital and paid the $10 (i think) and either you or them sent it in, then it will be mailed to you.

    I recieved the form at the hospital but then never sent it in... I had to order online just a couple months ago in a panic before we went on a trip! 

    There should be info on your countys website.

    You have to request it.  Your hospital might facilitate it for you, but you would have had to give them $ and fill out the request form that they would submit along with the paperwork.  But otherwise, you have to request it.   I think you're in Kitsap right?

    We got the form in our packet when we left, but didn't send it in until about a year later.  I think it was $40 for 2.  But you get it pretty quick!
