  • DD is 26 inches. She is one tall girl - 95th percentile - Pedi says she is the length of a 7-month old.

ETA: She was born at 20 1/4 inches.

  • It sounds like he's pretty average. It was a nurse who came out to my house for a monthly check up from my insurance. So who knows if she's right or not with the percentile. I'm going to check with our pedi. Thanks ladies!

  • DD was 25.5 inches at 4 months.

24 inches would put your DS in the 25-50th percentile (according to my growth chart app and based on WHO standards) not the 2nd percentile...

  • My guy is little, was 23 in at his 4 month check up.  Born at 19.5
  • DD was 26 inches and 15 lbs 4 oz at her 4 month appt. She was born 21 inches and 9 lbs 5 oz.

  • At DS's 4 month appointment he was 24 and 3/4 inches. He was also born 19 inches.  At 4 months he was considered 50th percentile for height. However, our pedi told us at his 2 month appointment that their height at that point is no indication of what they'll be as an adult, it only has to do with the size of our uterus.  I'm not sure at what point it does begin to be an indicator of adult height (not that you were asking, just thought that was interesting).

  • if he is in 2nd%ile at 24" then DD must be below the charts because she is probably only 22-23 inches. her 4mos check up is on tues.

DD was 23.5" at her 2 month check up, 19 3/4 at birth. Her pedi said she was the height of an average 4 month old. She was growing like a weed. Neither of us is tall. I don't know what she'll be at her appointment next month. There are different growth charts for boys and girls though, so that makes a difference for %

DD is 26.25 in at 4 months.

I agree though, 24 inches is the 25-50th percentile, not 2%

  • DS was 26 1/4 inches and in the 90th percentile.
  • 19.75 inches at birth (15%)

    23.5 at 4 months (25%)

Those were the percentages we were told - which obviously doesn't mesh with what you were told. I guess you could compare it to the WHO growth charts you can find online.
