my precious little one will need surgery

we will be seeing the urologist in two weeks who is recommending that my baby has kidney surgery to remove the obstruction causing the enlarged kidney. i hope he will be ok. i'm being told by everyone that it's better to resolve this now rather than later and to prevent any further complications later in life.

i cannot help but feel bad, but i'm doing ok actually. after all, he's not even two months old yet. thank God my mom has been around to accompany us to his ultrasounds and such.

We're having that same surgery at the end of this month. I keep telling myself that if this is the worst thing that happens it isn't so bad. It's correctable and shouldn't leave any long term damage should we take care of it now rather than later.

Hang in there, mama. I know it's hard.

I'm sorry. We were at the nephrolgist (sp) yesterday for the same thing. When is the surgery. Hang in there!

((hugs)). I know it is so scary to think about surgery on such a little one, but babies usually recovery so quickly! Not for the same reasons as your LO, but Andrew has had three surgeries already and his first one he weighed less than a pound and a half! They are resilient and it will probably be harder on you then on him! Hang in there!
