and not a spa pedicure - but like a cheapo nail salon one.
I was for a while going to the cheapo place with my friend and getting the $30 pedicure (mid-range) and tipping $5
Now I found this amazing cheapo place by my work which for $40 - seriously spoils you rotten.
Today I went to the amazing place and I had a pedicaure for 90 minutes! at least 45 minutes of it was massage - I actually fell asleep. Scrub, then detox, then reflexology, then lotion, the parrafin dip, then hot stone!!
I tipped $12.
Now I wonder if I tipped enough - my feet and toe nails look like new~
Re: NBR: How much do you tip for a pedicure?
My nail shop is about $20, I usually tip $5.
I'm weird, but I actually don't really like the massaging part of the pedicure. I like actual massages, but not s'much during a pedicure. I'd rather just cleaned up and polished.
The last pedicure I got was courtesy of my mother, for my birthday. She called ahead of time and had everything paid for. I asked the lady at the counter before my appointment if my mom paid the tip as well, just to be sure. She hadn't, so I planned to tip about $5 for the $35 pedicure. The woman at the counter said it was not necessary, but I could if I wanted to. They all knew it was my "special day".
The lady ended up getting kicked in the face when she hit a nerve on the bottom of my foot. I felt SO horrible. She assured me it was okay, and that she barely felt it, but I ended up giving her $12. It was all I had on me that day.
