Success after IF

***preheatedoven & eyenerd***

Just thought I'd give you an update.  I took Cal to the pedi yesterday, and he saw a mild, intermittent exotropia in his right eye.  He referred us to a pedi opthalmologist but there's a 3-4 months wait list.  He said since it's so mild, there's a good chance he'll just let it be.  We shall see!
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!

  • Glad you have an answer! It sucks that it will take so long to get in to see the pedi opthal. Hopefully it will correct itself, or there will be an easy fix like glasses.

  • Intermittent is good (usually doesn't result in Amblyopia).  Exotropia is usually better than Eso as well for a prognosis.

    Thanks for keeping us posted!
