feel free to add your own revelations post-baby ![]()
i now know that once i go back to work, things will get much better with DH. i was planning on staying out until august but i got called in for an emergency this past weekend. it was all last-minute but DH was home so - guess what? here's the crash-course i've always wanted him to have.
yes, he did fine, of course everyone survived... but i am happy to say that he admitted that it was a huge eye-opener and just what he needed. does it mean that since then he jumps up every time she squawks through the monitor? no. but at least he knows i'm not watching soaps all day and when there is no dinner ready when he gets home, it isn't because i've been housing bonbons! ![]()
Re: what i now know....
Its definitely a process, but they will get the hang of it sooner or later.... This is DD on Monday night when DH swaddled her:

I am convinced sooner or later, he WILL get the hang of it. lol.... He even wakes up, sees it and laughs... before I re-swaddle her.

Haha, that's really funny with the swaddling!
This isn't really my revelation, but yesterday a coworker (who has an 18 month old) said to me, almost everything is a phase that they will grow out of. So even if something sucks right now and you don't know how to solve the problem, it will eventually pass on its own.
I laughed so loud at work that my boss had to see what was so funny! This is hilarious!!!
i gave up on swaddling addy after about 2 weeks when she would bust out like that as well. good luck though!
