Dilemma - someone at daycare is doing the same party we are 2 weeks before ours.

So, I have been planning DD's bday for the Roswell Sprayground. Yesterday, we were invited to a bday party there 2 weeks prior to DD's bday. So, the dilemma is should I change the plans b/c it'll be the same kids attending both parties or does it even matter? I'm torn. My concern is just that it won't be as interesting if everyone, including DD, just did the same thing 2 weeks prior. I haven't done any of the planning really other than that was what we were going to do. So, if I do change, it isn't like I have lost anything.

    If you had started planning already, I would say stick with it, no one will care.  But if you haven't even begun planning then, yeah, I'd probably at least consider other options just to mix things up.  But of course, there is some benefit to having it at the same place... you can scope out their party and see what works and doesn't work so yours is better :-)

    I don't think it matters. Everyone likes water/pool parties.

    The same thing happened to us last year in planning DS's party at a bounce house. We kept it, because kids love the venue. I picked up a few tips on what works/doesn't work, but overall, the kids didn't care. In fact, we went to 4 parties within 8 weeks at this same place.

    We are having C's party there on the 7/9 as well!  When is your party?  I would say just keep it there if that's wahat you wanted to do.  No one will really care and the kids will still love it. 

    I would love to hear from others what works and doesn't work when having a party there.

    Alison422 - Are you renting the pavilion area or just doing it yourself and getting one of the tables next to the spray area?

    I don't think it matters. Its that time of year everyone will be doing a similar kind of party.

    I don't think anyone would really care. The birthday party themes will be different right? I think the kids will enjoy going to the Sprayground no matter what.
