One of the 7 B's of AP is Balance. From Dr. Sears:
"In your zeal to give so much to your baby, it's easy to neglect the needs of yourself and your marriage. As you will learn the key to putting balance in your parenting is being appropriately responsive to your baby ? knowing when to say "yes" and when to say "no," and having the wisdom to say "yes" to yourself when you need help."
What have you done to maintain balance this past week?
Re: Balance Check In
May I join the check in?
SIL stayed a couple of extra hours last night while DH and I went to do some gardening and work with our cattle (and shear a sheep!). It was good to reconnect to the land and animals.
too busy for balance. : DH was gone all weekend and will be gone this weekend again, and both of us are working during the week (he's working on the weekends he's gone) And LO was sick over the weekend, which was sadly kind of nice because she slept a lot and we just snuggled most of the time. She now feels better and is a little energizer bunny again. (Thankfully she is better, but it sure was nice to snuggle all day!)
So it has been all work and no play for us for a few weeks now. Hopefully we an take a day off next weekend. I told DH we have no balance and he understands, but it's also a busy time for our business. so.....
I had my weekly dinner with my bff. We ate at the gourmet burger place here in town and mucked around down town.
