Success after IF

Share your must-haves for the pool/beach

Thinking of what we will need for the hot summer ahead..

So far this is what I've got:

sunscreen, swimsuit, tent, powder to easily remove sand, sand toys, snack, sippy, kite, towels, water shoes, swim diapers, insect repellent, change of clothes

Please include safety items...

TIA!

  • Puddle jumper.  DS can easily "swim" on his own with it, and coast guard approved just like a life jacket.

ETA: and a hat and sunlgasses

  • what is a puddle jumper? :)
  • This

They say for 30-50 lbs.  DS used his last year with no trouble and he was about 25lbs.  It's better this year since he's bigger, but we have a pool and he would NOT wear a life jacket.  I got ours at Target for $15

  • whoa!  those are cool!! thanks!
  • water shoes, sunglasses, big hat, benadryl
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Portable potty for the car - none on the beach we go to and DS can't hold it for the 10-15 minute drive to the nearest one.

wet washcloth frozen in a ziploc - cools him off and really helps if sunscreen gets in his eyes.
