Re: running stroller

  • I really really like Phil & Teds (almost any of them) and the BOB, of course. But they're both a bit expensive, but for someone like me who runs a lot, it would be worth it for me. Also, with some of the Phil & Ted's, they convert to a dualie, so you don't have to buy a new one if you have more kids!

  • I just ordered this stroller on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QDMOGM.  The brand gets good ratings on Consumer Reports, it got really good reviews on Amazon, and the price was right.  I should get it on Thursday...I hope I will love it as much as I think I will.

I looked for a used BOB on Craig's List but with the recent recall, I didn't want to have to worry about when it was manufactured or anything like that.

  • Hubby and I are looking at getting Baby Trend's Jogging Stroller I believe it's $200, as opposed to the $400 and up that I see with a lot of jogging strollers. It has cup holders & ipod speakers too.

Phil and Ted's are not jogging/running strollers (download the instructions, its in the warning section). They don't have locking front wheels either, so I wouldn't run with them. The only one they carry that is designed for this is the Sub4 and it hasn't been released yet. It's a single seater. I use my Chariot Cougar II instead of my P & T.

If you are refering to the car seat, there are lots of strollers compatible with the Graco car seats (and very few true running strollers, they are designed for older infants only), but you won't be able to jog with it attached or before lo is 6 - 8 months (it can give injuries similar to shaken baby). Lots of people swear by brisk walking, light running on smooth surfaces though.
