So when a co-worker of mine had her baby we used the following for her Baby Pool. Each "player" could earn a total of 60 points.
Boy / Girl - 3 Points
Date of Birth - 12 points for correct day, subtract 2 points for each day "off"
Inches at Birth - 10 points for exact, subtract 2 points for every quarter inch off.
Weight at Birth - 15 points for exact, subtract 3 points for every ounce off.
Time of Birth - 10 points for exact, subtract 2 points for every hour off.
Hours of Labor - 10 points for correct duration, subtract 2 points for each hour "off"
Anyone have any suggestions for any other categories? Trying to switch it up a bit this time around!
Re: Baby Pools - Office Gambling
This is all pretty detailed already.. the only thing I can think of length of pushing but that just seem way TMI.
My office is doing a pool for me and they are first going by date, then weight, then length.
There were 87 entries in my co-workers pool between our office and her DH's, and a few family/friends. We really needed a detailed way to determine a winner... (who ended up being her 12 year old niece!)
Worst part is there is a matching spreadsheet that automatically computes the winner based on the categories. We are a bunch of looser accountants.
