Anyone taken their kids to the racetrack?

Racetrack as in horsies.

MIL has a GTG with her extended fam every June at the racetrack.  Last year I didn't go because I was huge and pregnant and couldn't stand the thought of sitting out.  I'm afraid this year we have no choice as she's dying to show off H&A.


Any hints?

    Yes but he was a baby.  I wouldn't have had a problem taking him back before then just didn't have the opportunity. 

    Is it general admission?  Covered seating available?  We went for mother's day when Mark was 2 months.  We got there early and got a box in the shade.  Mark pretty much stayed in his stroller the whole time.
