xp: update: definite good news!

DS will get to experience an American Halloween this year!  We are coming back to CA for a couple weeks; found a good deal on flights and DH booked the tickets last night.  Will be a short trip for everyone to meet MET, but looking forward to it!

    Yay!  Are you flying Air New Zealand?  We did Australia and the South Island for our honeymoon and were on AZ for the flight home, they were awesome!

    yes, we always fly airNZ.  they are awesome, aren't they?  they are the best airline that i've ever flown by far.   even the domestic flights here are great; you still get a snack and drink, and monday through friday commuter flights you get a breakfast box or wine/cheese/fruit plate.  can't beat that! :)

    They are the best!  I've done a lot of flying and by far the exceed everything else.  We were in United Business class to Australia and coming home on Air New Zealand was only marginally less impressive than that.  That's great to know that in country their standards are just as high too.

    Can I just say that I am sooooo jealous of your entire experience.  DH and I would love to live abroad in general but we seriously fell in love with NZ and wish we had jobs that would be in demand over there.  Sadly my HR background just does me no good and while Josh could probably get a job in Auckland (not a super tech job but sort of) but we so loved the south island.

    Where are you guys?

    We are in Wellington.  We love the south island too.  It's always our getaway place to go.  I would love to live there, but I love my job here too much to take a chance at another hospital.  We are off to Lake Taupo this weekend for our first family road trip; we wanted to go to Hanmer Springs, but couldn't justify the expense and effort to organize it all.   We can't wait to show DS his lovely country!  Don't be jealous...you can come visit whenever you like.  Big Smile  We plan on being here for the foreseeable future.
