A fever WWYD?

DD was starting to get a stuffy nose and cough earlier today. Well her temp was 99.5 before bed. Now it's 103.5! (I know it raises while sleeping but not that much. I don't think) any she's very congested and just doesn't feel good. She's crying in her sleep, too :( my question is, should I keep her covered up, or cool down her room and let her sleep out of the covers. Right now she's out of covers in just a CD and shirt. I did manage to give her about a 1/4 dose of Tylenol in her sleep. It might help some, I guess. WWYD?

    A/C is 76 with a ceiling fan on, too. Should I call pedi? it 102.8 under her arm. So doesn't that make it 103.8?

    Which DD is it?  If it's older, I would probably wait a little bit and re-check to make sure it's not increasing.

    If it's your LO, I might consider calling.  I forget what the fever cutoffs are at the moment though for the different ages.

    It's for my 2 1/2 yr old. I called because I checked it and it was 104. I finally got her to take tylenol and we decreases the air to 74 and turned the fan on high. She only in her diaper but she is snuggled with her blankie. I'm going to check it again in about 30 minutes and take her in the morning to see the pedi.

    Thanks! I'm laying in bed with her now ( she won't let me up but she is asleep, so I'm going to bump and FB. LOL) The fever hadn't decreased with the Tylenol but it hasn't increase.

    I hate fevers. Tylenol doesn't do anything for N. The only thing that brings diwn fevers with him is Motrin (well we use the generic...). Hope she feels better soon!
