Where does your DH get his hair cut?

So this is really a question for DH....

The gal that has cut his hair just vanished. (It is quite possible she was fired/quit - it happened before at another place due to a misunderstanding...) ANYWAY, he is looking for someplace to get his hair cut....but he is picky and doesn't want to do a SuperCuts or anything like that. 

Anyone want to rec a place where your DH goes or if you go to someone that cuts dude's hair? Southwest/South is preferred... 

(I feel like a dork asking this...)

    Mine's picky with price and technique which makes it tough to find someone who will do a good job with his curly hair. He's had good experiences at JC penney in the Barton Creek mall.

    DH likes some chic at Floyd's in Sunset Valley right now.  They do the whole head massage thing and I don't know what else.  I can text him for her name, if you'd like.

    Ditto Floyd's!  DH doesn't go to anyone regularly but he always has a good experience there.

    NOVA & Aggie - who do your DH's see at Floyd's? DH used to go there, but then his stylist left and went to Silk - and now she has left there. He said he would go back to Flyod's if someone in particular was recommend there.

    I don't think he has been to anyone regularly.  He usually goes to the one in the Arbor Walk but he has also gone to the one on Lamar next to Uchiko.  Sorry I'm not more help!

    DH is very picky about his hair and he goes to Ben F. at Salon Republic 587-8571.

    ETA: Sorry, didn't realize you asked preferred south. He is NW.

    If the Arboretum isn't too far north, Raquel at Kisma did the hub's hair.

    He's got difficult super straight hair that shows every thing, so he needed someone that could do a great job.

    .Johna Simon at Mirror Mirror Salon specializes in men's cuts! :) She's awesome. 420-8868 to book an appt.  *I* currently cut DH's hair (which sucks because he constantly complains! lol) but if I can convince him to start going to Johna, I think he'll be pleased!

    My DH is very picky and only goes to the same place I go.  Her name is Shelli and she has a small salon, Salon Virtue,  on S Congress.  I highly recommend her to anyone, male or female.

    i know its not the same as grown up hair, but we've taken max to the floyd's in sunset valley next to mighty fine.  for the life of me, i can't remember who we saw but were happy with the results.  i guess i need to do some research as we need to go back soon!

    i've also heard good things about bird's on south lamar.

    Just for something a little different...DH goes to the Wooten Barber Shop on the drag.  I don't know why, but he loves it.  He has curly hair (with not too much on top) and they do a good job.  He is no-fuss about his hair and definitely not picky.  As long as he doesn't cut it too short, I think it looks great.

    DH goes to Birds on Burnet. He's pretty picky, but doesn't like to pay Roxy's rates at Avant.

    He used to get it cut at Birds on S Lamar with a stylist who became super-popular. I think BIrds is technically a walk-in place, but you can put your name on the list for a specific stylist. Anyway, she always had a wait list. She recently left Birds (I think b/c she figured out she had enough clients to go to a salon with appts-only). She is at Topaz on S Lamar. DH says the salon is not as "cool" as Birds, but he loves his stylist. Now, if I could just remember her name.... Let me know if you're interested & I'll ask him.
