Lunch Ideas for the Zoo?

looking for lunch ideas to take to the zoo in the hot hot summer... Don't really wanna lug a cooler.... fruit and veggies work for snack part and I took bottled waters frozen in the "bottle bag" last time which was perfect... but what "main dish" could we take that won't go bad after 3 hours in the heat? Last time we ate actual lunch there and DH said the food there was HELLA expensive so we can't do that anymore.

    I'd just do pb sandwiches. I've been freezing yogurt tubes and they have been good for our recent picnics. Have fun!

    Ditto the pb&j. I've frozen individual servings of applesauce and it's usually a good cool slushy treat. What about hummus and pitas?

    Our zoo doesn't allow us to carry food in.  Must eat there or picnic in the park outside... In which case, we'd leave a cooler in the car for things that needed it.  We'd probably just do sandwiches, carrots and a bag of chips or crackers.  String cheese for those that eat it and you can keep it with the frozen water bottles.
