Does anyone have a teddy bear dog?

We are looking at getting one for DD and I just wanted to get some first hand opinions.   The one we are getting is just 8 weeks

    Hope you don't mind me replying- I post on IF and lurk on SAIF to see updates on IF graduates

    Anyways- I was hoping you were talkng about a toy until I saw an age listed.

    This means you are getting a designer breed which is a mutt which is bred by an unscrupulous 'breeder' or even from a pet store which = puppy mills. 

    Nothing wrong with mutts, I love mutts.  But mutts are mutts.  not a 'breed'.

    If you want a small breed dog- you really should look into a rescue group.  You can find pretty much any breed of dog, even as a puppy from a rescue.  and you save a life.  

    Get a dog from a rescue that's been fostered in a home with kids.   

    I really hope you reconsider and don't get this dog.
