Remember my post about daycares?

Which one to go with or stay with (as the case may be)?  Well, we were on the list for the "highly recommended" one that one of Miles' buddies is going to in July.  But DH wasn't convinced it was the right fit and had a couple of concerns he wanted to discuss with the owners before we jumped right in and moved Miles when he's happy where he is.  

Well, she called me twice yesterday and once this morning (after not returning my call for months).  So I called her back and told her we were on vacay and not ready to make a decision right now anyway because my DH had a couple of concerns.  She asked what they were and when I told her she said "Well, we aren't really willing to start people who aren't excited about starting from the beginning.  That doesn't work for us.  We have a waiting list a mile long and we would rather start someone who is excited about coming here."  I told her that's fine and that we'd keep her in mind if we decide it's necessary to move Miles.

What.A.B!tch.  I mean seriously?!  I'm glad we saw how she really feels now instead of later!  Who doesn't even address concerns of parents?  I get if it's something we're being unreasonable about and they can't address it, but they should still at least act like they feel our concerns are important.  That lady all but said "If you're complaining now we don't want to deal with you."  

Whew.  One bullet dodged.  Just go to show ya...that gut instinct is usually right.  If there's a nagging feeling that you shouldn't do something...there's a good reason!

    Wow - what a B!tch.  All worked out in the end becuase you don't want your child going to a place like that anyway.

    I can't find the old post though - what were your concerns?  Just curious.

    They were a great center, but didn't offer naptime...or they offered them a place to lay down if they were tired, but not an official naptime.  Also, they don't have a playground, but walk several blocks (12 kids, 2 adults) to a playground and they do the same to the library, which is across two main thoroughfares in our town and also by a known whorehouse.  The environment is also very different from what he's used to...

    Just a few things that I wanted feedback and reassurance about.  I didn't get it.

    How arrogant and obnoxious!  Better to find that out now than later, I suppose, but I am sorry. :(
