Trouble TTC

Feel like I've been gone for so long

I'm so out of the loop! Hi girls!!! How is everyone??

We just got back from France a few days ago (it was amazing!) and before that I was kind of lying low bc things were so busy and we're kind of in limbo with TTC.  I'm just trying to catch up on the board, so many new names...((waves to new girls))

We were ok'ed by our RE for this cycle, but since AF came while we were on vacation (as expected, boo :( ) we are shooting for the end of June to be able to start again.  I'm so excited, I feel like it's been such a long journey since our m/c and I can't wait to start trying again.

  • Thanks girls!

S- it's so hard to pick one thing... I think overall I just loved walking around Paris, grabbing a baguette and cheese at a cafe and people watching, wine for dinner every night... but as far as a place- I loved the gardens at Versailles.  It was this amazing maze with a long pond in the middle and we just spent the day walking around, sitting by the water, etc  I didn't have to worry about work or TTC or really anything!

MrsH- I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c.  I would highly recommend taking a vacation if you can. I felt like even though I wasn't like crying everyday, I felt this weight of sadness that I couldn't put my finger on... and it was so nice to be able to just forget everything and relax.  Even if it's just for a few days, it's so worth it.

Well, DH has his post surgical SA next Tuesday. We go on vacation at the end of June, so we'll likely postpone our next IUI until my July cycle. Unfortunately my body is refusing to O this cycle (seriously, I have no idea what's going on...) so that pushes back our treatment date. Anyway, once we have the results next week I'm going to call our RE and see if he still wants to do injectables with Gonal-F or not.

What about you guys? IUI? Clomid?

  • GL on the SA!!  I seriously do not understand why our bodies don't cooperate... I think after all the waiting, it's time for your body to step up and get with the program.  Do I have to send a strongly worded letter to your ovaries??? ;);)

Yeah, RE said we'll do the same thing that we did on our successful cycle, so IUI with 100mg of Clomid.  I am actually a little terrified because I have been counting so hard on this working again- I think if these next few end up in BFNs it's going to hit me harder than the ones from before.  I think I need to lower my expectations a little, but still try to stay positive :)

IF can be such a roller coaster. I know we've said this before, but I fully expect us both to be on PAIF together this summer. Seriously. Stick out tongue

Hi Blue!! Thanks :)  How are you? Are you excited about this cycle? What's happening with all of the things this summer that you were talking about having to miss/postpone?

I'm pretty good and so relieved that this cycle is finally underway. I am having a hard time staying positive but still hoping for the best.  In the end I did miss my college reunion and will miss my best friend's wedding, which I am still pretty crushed about, but I really do hope something good will come from this cycle and I am now hoping to visit the states in the early fall and spend some qt with her and her soon-to-be husband. Thanks for asking! I hope to see you around more:)
