Does your monitor continue to tick for several seconds (probably about 10) after you pick LO up out of the crib? Is the sensor delayed or could it be something else like the ceiling fan? If I adjust the sensitivity setting will that fix it? TIA!
Mine doesnt do that. It gives me the warning beep about 5 seconds after I pick DD up. I would change the setting and see how it works. Do you have wood flooring? It can also be the vibrations from your spets that is making it delay the alarm.
i have definitely heard many stories about fans setting it off, so its worth testing with your fan. We live in an old house with wood floors so my walking around the bed after I pick him up will set it off too. Definitely play with the sensitivity setting and see if you figure out if that is affecting it as well.
well i've been playing with the sensitivity settings all afternoon and even with the fan off and it set at 1 it is still picking up something. I emailed customer service to see what they say. his nursery is carpeted so i'm not sure what it could be. my other big concern is that it is going to get too hot in there during the summer to not have the fan on so i'm not sure what to do if i can't get this figured out. thanks for the advice!
Mine takes a few seconds from when I take him out of the crib to walk to put it on hold. I would say maybe 3 seconds until the pendulum stops. Although we have carpet, we have creaky floors on that level and that's what I always thought it was from.
My husband works at the largest privately owned peds clinic in the states and they recommend NOT getting the angelcare monitor because of all the false alarms.
