Not crazy over the BE Band...

I've been wearing this for the past 2 days and I've decided I just don't like it.  All my friends said how it rocked, but I find it pretty much annoying.  It's fine if all you're doing is standing still, but I find it tends to roll up my waist when sitting or bending over, and when getting in/out of the car.  Plus with going to the bathroom so often, you have to raise it up, then pull your pants down, then readjust it each time.  It's hot where I live and I'm not crazy over the extra layers around a place on my body where I already feel uncomfortable.

  • Everyone told me those bands were awesome, my SIL who had baby let me borrow hers, hated it. Wore it once, then just bought maternity clothes.

  • I am not a fan either... luckily I can still fit in my regular clothes for now.

  • Just make the switch to maternity pants and you'll feel 10000x better. They're amazing!

  • I agree with all of the above. The only reason I like it is because I can wear my pre-preg clothes, but its such a pain. My mom bought me some clothes that are a size bigger than I usually wear, and they are pretty awesome for maternity too. She just got stuff that sat lower on the waist. If anyone is like me, I am getting the biggest in my hips, so the stuff that is a size bigger has been great. Along with maternity pants.

This is true...maternity pants are soooo comfortable.  There are a bunch of cute pairs you can get now too.  A Pea in the Pod also has designer jeans:

  • I feel your pain. I started wearing my at 10 weeks cause of the bloat but then I realized it was putting so much pressure on my belly. It hurt! OB told me at my 16 week check up that I was carrying really low- maybe that could be you too. I wear yoga pants higher up and I feel great. Anything that sits low on my belly hurts :(
  • If you have a booty (and I have A booty) I find they don't work well. My pants in the back would fall out of the band, exposing my crack to all who sat behind me.

I've been rocking maternity pants since week 8.

  • Hmmm, I really like the be band and haven't had to buy any maternity pants yet because of it. But everyone's body is different. I do agree that maternity pants are super comfy. I tried some Gap maternity jeans on and they were wonderful. I was thinking, why would anyone wear anything else even if they aren't PG??? In the end, I didn't get them because I live in Atlanta and there is no way I am wearing jeans anytime soon in this heat...

YEP!  Exactly.  I was kinda iffy on spending a bunch on Maternity jeans since I'd only be in em for 4 and a half more months.  But no joke I think I might wear them every day for the rest of my life.
