Six weeks pregnant, but not feeling pregnant?

Hi Everyone,

I am a six weeks pregnant and I really don't feel much different than I normally do. the only exceptions are a constant need to go to the bathroom and sore breasts. The past two days I have also started to have cramping every now and then. No bleeding, just some cramps in my abdomen. I go to the doctor's this week for my first visit, but I wanted to see if this is normal. I guess I thought I would feel markedly different from my non-pregnant self. I am worried that I don't feel to different. Can anyone offer any input?

 Thank you!

  • Enjoy it! Everyone and every pregnancy is different. I had every symptom in the book with my last pregnancy, and nothing so far with this one. I don't feel the least bit pregnant either;) Congratulations!

  • hah i hate to break it to you but just the need to pee and the sore breasts IS you feeling pregnant =D

It is very normal. I didn't actually "feel "pregnant until I was well into my teens on the weeks. Some people don't "Feel" pregnant until they show, and that's sometimes not until 20+ weeks.

I really didn't have any symptoms with my first and so far this time it's just the occasional wave of nausea here and there.  Hoping for the same this time around.  Don't worry too much, just enjoy it!! :)

  • This is completly normal and exactly I how I felt with both pregnancies. You may be one of the lucky ones, who has mild symptoms.
  • I am having the same symptoms as you. Sore breast and peeing also having cravings but other than that I am not having to much else! I asked all my friends who are on there second or third baby and they all said to enjoy it.
  • The other ladies answered your questions really well! I just wanted to say congrats and welcome!!

  • I didn't feel anything at all during my first pregnancy and we miscarried at 8 weeks. Now I'm on my third TTC attempt and this time my breasts are sore, I'm exhausted, I have to pee all the time, I have random abdominal cramps, and the most sporadic bouts of nausea (usually end up just dry-heaving) at the most inopportune times. I take all of these signs to be a blessing and proof that my baby is hanging on this time! Enjoy the fact that your symptoms are mild and rest assured that what little symptoms you have are a good sign :)
