I'm a displaced Mass/Rhode Islander and all I want is so authentic Portuguese sweet bread. Unfortunately I think my husband is the only Portuguese guy in Washington (someone told me that made him exotic which I thought was funny). I was hoping that someone would have a good recipe they can share if it isn't too hard to make.
I know I could look for something online but I would like something that has been approved by someone who knows what it should taste like.
TIA!
Re: Portuguese Sweet Bread
I don't come over to the Bump all that often, but here are two recipes from RI Nestie friends of mine:
Portuguese Sweet Bread -- https://recipes.tysworld.com/index.php?m=recipes&a=view&recipe_id=554
Portuguese Sweet Bread II -- https://recipes.tysworld.com/index.php?m=recipes&a=view&recipe_id=5209
I haven't tried making either one, since I am lucky enough to be able to go out and buy bolos when the craving strikes in our family! Good luck
