hair loss

I knew my hair would start falling out PP since it pretty much stopped during pregnancy, but holy cow! It's all over the freaking place! Handfuls come out every time I run my hands through my hair and DH basically follows me around the apt picking it up. Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts as to when it might slow down?

It has been going strong for almost a month now. I am so ready for it to slow down. Someone told me that it does stop or really slows down around six months.

Yesterday before I showered, I brushed my hair. Away came a small birds nest of hair. While I showered, more came out- enough to make a small bird's nest. I brushed my hair after, and I showed an astounded DH another small nest of hair. All 3 bundles of hair each were the same size as the robin nest on my front porch.

I am so ready for this to be done.

ugh! Yes, this is totally happening to me all day long. I can't even move w/o pieces and pieces falling out. I hope it ends soon!

Right there w/you ladies! Mine just really got bad in the last few days, the bottom of my shower looked like some poor furry creature had died down there, uggg!

When I was having cyst issues my hair would come out in clumps. My hand would come out brown after shampooing and conditioning, My hair was visibly thinning in certain spots and I almos has a bald spot on the back of my head. It took a good 3 months after the hair started falling out to see any decrease though.

I am losing my hair now too but it isn't that bad this time around. I assume that it will take just as much time to slow down.

Mine just started doing that a week or two ago, and it's ridiculous! I guess I expected it to happen sooner and be done by now.

I looked this up the other day because I had a patient complaining about it. Your hair goes into a resting phase PP...this can start between 1-5 months and can continue until 6-15 mos...I'm hoping more along the 6 months line, personally.

I can't wait for this to be done. Although I'm not too much against losing some since my hair is so thick. If I leave my hair too wet my neck hurts. So this time of year I always threaten H that he's going to come home and I'm going to go GI jane on my hair.

I love it because my hair is so thick and I'll gladly get rid of some. Granted I don't like the piles of it that I find.

I don't know how long it took last time. It started at 3 months and then I got pregnant again at 4 months pp.

I seriously was going to write a thread on this. I am so over this! I have very thick, curly hair so I can stand to lose some (it's so heavy) but on top of falling out like crazy, it's so stinking dry.

I swear it looks like a small animal died in my tub after I'm done showering. But to your question, I can't really pin point when it eventually stopped after DD was born.

Seriously, joining the conversation late, but I am so sick of the hair loss too! It is really disgusting. I have really think hair, but after a few weeks, it is noticeably thinner. Please tell me I won't go bald!
